Bringing markets
to Somerset
Background
A Westcountry events entrepreneur approached me to help launch a series of community-based street markets. The logo draws inspiration from classic London market signs, designed to be flexible enough to adapt for each new location as more markets join. The website is intuitive, showcasing market events and local vendors, while marketing materials highlight sustainability and the region’s diverse food scene. Signage is designed to guide visitors with clear, welcoming visuals. Overall, the goal is to capture the spirit of Somerset and bring it to life both online and at the markets.
New life to Somersets market towns
Our collaborative efforts have significantly boosted footfall in the towns, thanks to regular markets, live music, and engaging events. By focusing on sustainability and accessibility, we’ve created inclusive Food & Drink markets with themes ranging from Pride to Christmas, offering local artisans a reliable platform. Starting with Taunton Independent before COVID, the market continued to grow as we shifted to online orders. Vendors who remained with Taunton Independent have now become a core part of the markets in Bridgwater, Haynes, and, starting in 2025, Weston-super-Mare.
